The Podgorica Congress and Fair Center is envisioned as a Living Cultural Landscape where nature, architecture, and cultural production converge. Inspired by the city’s layered topography, historical productivity, and ecological richness, the project avoids creating a detached monument. Instead, it proposes a permeable, low-threshold civic terrain.
At its heart lies the Living Spine — a linear atrium path aligned with preserved trees and topographic flows. More than a circulation axis, this shaded promenade becomes a cultural interaction zone, animated by local trees and daylight filtered through roof lanterns.
Around it orbit flexible program elements designed to adapt to multiple scenarios: exhibition halls, conference rooms, and a transformable trade area. The entrance is framed by a reflective pool that blurs the boundary between the city and the building.
Lounge areas and rooftop terraces offer vertical public extensions that support informal encounters. The architecture deliberately avoids rigid boundaries, replacing them with open layers that invite occupation and reinterpretation. Cultural continuity runs through every material and spatial decision.
